02Manifesto

An armour of identity

Clothing is not a surface layer. It is the first thing that says something about you before you have said it yourself.

We live in a world saturated with mass production. Every shop offers the same thing to everyone and asks you to fit a mould that existed before you walked through the door. Your size was decided by someone who has never seen you.

Romeo Funacci exists to break that. We don't make clothes so you fit in: we make pieces so you stand out on your own terms. It is the precise intersection of classical hand tailoring and a contemporary, dark, forward attitude.

Every piece is a refuge from uniformity, made for someone who refuses to go unnoticed and wants a look that exists in no shop window.

02.1The concept

I

Tailored identity

You are not buying a suit: you are building an extension of your own character. The process is intimate, exclusive and personal, and it happens once for each piece.

II

The lineage

The technical precision of haute couture crossed with a cult imaginary: our Hydra, the engraving, the clean and cutting geometry. Long before clothing was fashion, it was defence.

III

The future

A long relationship. Once you enter the atelier and your measurements are kept, you gain direct access to unrepeatable pieces made for your silhouette alone.

We don't make clothes so you fit in. We make pieces so you stand out.

02.2Atelier

Avilés

The atelier works by appointment only, at Calle Gutiérrez Herrero 52, office 308, Avilés. There is no door onto the street and no rails to browse — you come because we have already spoken, and you know what you are coming for.

There's no shop floor. There's a cutting table, a mirror, and as much time as it takes.

The process, up close

  • I

    The appointment

Nothing gets touched the first time. We talk — about what you wear now, what you're tired of, what you'd want people to read in you before you speak. The piece comes from that, not from a catalogue.

  • II

    The measurements

We take your whole silhouette, not just a size's four numbers. How you move, how you sit, where you carry weight when you walk. That record stays with you, and is never built from scratch again.

  • III

    The piece

Cut against your own pattern, not a standard one adjusted afterwards. One to three fittings, depending on the piece, until it falls exactly where it should. After that, it is never made again.

Why it's limited

Every piece is cut and sewn by hand, one after another. There's no production line to speed up — the limit is set by how long it actually takes to do properly, not by a scarcity strategy. That's why the calendar closes before the year fills up.

We don't promise speed. We promise it will be yours.
